Every few years I remember how much I like creating 3D photographs, and do a small batch, and then forget again. I have recently remembered again, and compiled some of my best images chronologically on this page.
These were simply shot with regular film and digital cameras – rather than a specialist twin-lens camera – by taking one shot and then shifting the frame a few centimetres to the side for the second.
Placed together, these twin photographs have 3-dimensional potential.
To unlock the stereographic depth, cross your pretty eyes to focus on a point less than a third of the way from you to the screen (it may help to hold a finger up in that position) until the two photos overlap.
